Casa de la Sonrisa Hotel

Casa de la Sonrisa Hotel is owned and run by Dutch couple Carla and Norbert. They are very friendly, helpful and professional. They offer a warm welcome and will ensure you enjoy your stay. They speak Dutch, English and Spanish and have good local knowledge of the area.

The hotel was built in the center of Alhama around 1859 and was originally a large family home. Using traditional Spanish materials, they have succeeded in constructing a hotel that keeps a very Spanish atmosphere and no room is the same. They are all centrally heated and ensuite. There is a large lounge with lots of character where you can enjoy a drink and tapas at any time of the day.

 

Stay in a traditional Spanish town house - the choice is yours...

You can choose to stay in a luxurious, spacious, traditional Spanish town house, here in Alhama. It is a rental house belonging to our friends Keith and Liz and is reserved entirely for our guests use - we all live just up the road!. Everyone will have their own room unless they specifically request to share.

It has 4 refreshingly light, airy and comfortable bedrooms and can accomodate up to 6 people.

There is a well-stocked kitchen, with all appliances provided for your use. Breakfast is provided daily in the house.

There are two bathrooms, a lounge (with television) and a dining room for up to six people. With spacious rooms to relax in and stunning views of the surrounding countryside, this accommodation provides the perfect antidote to a fast-paced modern lifestyle.

Accomodation includes Bed and Breakfast. Excellent Spanish food and wine is available from the large variety of local tapas bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budget levels.

The house is cleaned everyday, beds are changed and bathrooms restocked.

Close by, there is a large outdoor swimming pool overlooking Lake Alhama available during the summer months.

Alex, you’ve been a fabulous host and an excellent tutor!  I’ve really enjoyed exploring the area with you and it is absolutely beautiful here!  I will leave a better ‘photographer’, more inspired so wanting to return very soon!  Thank you for such a relaxed and informative holiday.
